Remember that all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy? Yes, we know, we said this last year too, but it does not make it any less true!

And so, for our annual O&G SGH department event for this year, we ditched the sports attires and sporting equipments of last year, to go for something more creative, something more magical, something more fun – something that just feels like you’re off to the cinema!

Thus, we present the O&G Night 2026 – Cinema Royale!

What a night it was – a night that saw the worlds of magic clash with adventure, the worlds of pirates clash with superheroes, the worlds of feudal samurais clash with modern day thieves!

From the likes of Spider-Man and Doctor Strange, to Squid Game players and the Front Man, witches like Maleficent and the Scarlet Witch, pirates and thieves, Snow White, the Queen of Hearts, Cruella De Vil, Harley Quinn – the night was bursting with characters you have previously only seen in the cinema!

The event was joined by all levels of personnel from the department, from house officers to consultants, from junior nurses to matrons, PPKs and medical assistants, in order to have a day out where we can get to know one another better outside the scope of work, have some friendly fun and enjoy each other’s company without the hustle and bustle of work at the hospital. And we roped in family members too!

All in all, a wonderful evening spent on music, cinema, dance and some good ol’ fun.

Until next year!
