O&G Day 2025

All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy…and we know work in the healthcare industry, can make life seem pretty stressful at times.

Keeping this in mind, the O&G Department of Sarawak General Hospital has always aimed to have annual departmental events to include all level of healthcare providers from house officers to consultants, from junior nurses to matrons, PPKs and medical assistants, in order to have a day out where we can get to know one another better outside the scope of work, have some friendly fun and enjoy each other’s company without the hustle and bustle of work at the hospital. And we rope in family members too!

Thus after a very successful outing in 2024 at the Damai Beach Resort, this year we had a fun-filled day at the Sumiran Eco Park & Resort in Kuching! Plenty of exciting events and games were held during the day, and a light and easy dinner with lucky draw prize awards and plenty of karaoke performances, with some of our staff showcasing their hidden talents at singing and dancing! And the kids had so much fun too!

All in all, events like these are much needed to foster a good working relationship amongst all the staff in a department as it boosts morale, provides for much needed R&R amidst the busy work lives we all lead, and also gives us all a chance to just kick back and belt out a song once in a while!
