Hello and Welcome to the O&G SGH Resource Website.

Sarawak General Hospital, or better known as SGH, is located in the capital of Sarawak, Kuching, is the largest and busiest hospital in the state, as it is the referral centre for the state of Sarawak. This hospital has been around for more than a century and currently has over 1000 inpatient beds. It also serves as a teaching hospital both for the undergraduate students of UNIMAS as well as for postgraduate studies and subspecialty training.

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology is among the busiest clinical department in SGH and it accounts for more than a quarter of hospital admissions. It registers more than 10, 000 delivers annually. It offers an array of services from subspecialities such as gynae-oncology, reproductive medicine, urogynaecology, maternal and fetal medicine and recently paediatric adolescence gynaecology. It also provides daycare services as well as minimally invasive surgery. In recent years, it offers robotic assisted gynaecological surgeries, one of pioneers for the O&G unit in the country.
